Why the Fund Drive

We aim to provide excellent and affordable education to students from Northern Panay Island (covering Capiz, Aklan, Antique, and Iloilo) and nearby Masbate and Romblon Islands. To provide a permanent venue for the pioneer UP Graduate Program in Northern Panay Island by constructing a 2-storey building on a 1000-square meter lot in Roxas City.

UP is the Philippines only National University – its excellent standards and undeniable, and its alumni remain the most patriotic and key people to our country’s progress. To date, about 145 graduate students have benefited from the UPV Extension Program in Roxas City. This is in addition to the 1980s’ extension program under UP Visayas Dean Tomas Sajo.

The absence of a permanent venue has greatly limited this program from fully realizing its potential to gain more students and produce more graduates. More would benefit from this endeavor should donate

Our Progress so far

The township of Pueblo de Panay has generously donated a 1,000 square meter area of property to build on. Currenly, UP Alumni Association Capiz Chapter is drafting more plans to raise funds. In this light, we are also reaching out to generous donors who share this dream and vision to build the much-needed UP building in Roxas City. This would greatly help in the progress of Northern Panay Island and nearby provinces.
